If You Were An Iraq War Critic, You’re Probably Not Being Asked To Go On TV

Unfortunately for us, the American people and subsequently our role as the electorate, we are being poorly served by the fourth estate in the televised medium. All four networks are corporate entities driven by ratings and profit and have reduced our news programs to entertainment vehicles looking for the loudest and most controversial voice regardless if it even serves a purpose other then generating must see t.v. One has to go outside of mainstream news programming to get a balanced world view and that sadly takes time and effort. The average American does not have the luxury of time; they are too busy trying to make ends meet by being super-productive even if they are ill recompensed for it. I make it so that I do not have to watch the news; I subscribe to my news sources online where I can read in peace and quiet without war mongers shouting in a panic. I also watch Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, John Oliver and Bill Maher for the rest of the serious news on the domestic front. And I always make time to fit Bill Moyers in, he is the real deal in journalism.
