Three Rich Treasury Secretaries Laugh It Up Over Income Inequality

Laugh it up all you want gentleman; one day the piper will be paid and I hope it is soon. We had a scary but potent opportunity in 2008 to let the system crash and reboot it to something maybe different, but the powers that be in Washington trembled in fright and let that fear push them to rescue laissez faire capitalism with the people’s money, a sad day indeed, considering that our taxpayer dollars allowed Wall Street, big banks and those C.E.O’s to flourish and thrive once again while Main Street is still crippled from the 2008 Great Recession. Rober Rubin is no democrat, he convinced Bill Clinton to repeal Glass-Steagal and for that he should be forced to pay for his financial duplicitousness, brilliant as he supposedly is, he had to have known that eliminating the regulatory brakes on Wall Street would allow the casino like atmosphere to rule the day and eventually bring our entire economy down, but he didn’t care, he got paid his millions and millions of ill gotten dollars. The entire lot of them should be tar and feathered, the crooks that they are, I cannot for the life of me understand how they escaped, considering all of their horrible decision making and financial finagling, without having a legal book thrown at them. These men inspired me to do something about my anger, I am going to volunteer to help Bernie Sanders campaign and I will do my best to get him to the White House because he is the best candidate to make examples of these shysters and get banking to the point where it is boring again. We should be thinking of perhaps instituting public banking as a source of direct competition against Wall Street, a banking system designed for the people, the public commons and public infrastructure since Wall Street is absolutely useless in anything necessary for the public good. Bernie Sanders is the candidate we need to combat income inequality in all of its expressions, we need him as much as he needs us. Bernie Sanders 2016!
