The Stakes Of The 2016 Election Just Got Much, Much Higher

There is no question of constitutional precedent, it is all written in black and white; the Constitution tells us itself that it is the President’s duty to select and then appoint Supreme Court Justices and it is the senate’s duty to aide and confirm in the process. As Elizabeth Warren stridently tweeted, it is our current President who is charged with appointing the next Supreme Court Justice and the current senate’s job to confirm his appointment. There is no if’s, and’s or but’s about it.
